Make sure you measure your space accurately! To measure your countertop square footage, do the following:

Begin by drawing a diagram of your countertop space on a piece of paper
Be sure to include the spaces for your sink, cooktop, bar sink, etc.
Specify where there are walls in your countertop space
Measure the countertop length from wall to wall (in inches)
Write down the length in the correct space on your drawing
Measure the depth of the countertops from the wall
Repeat these steps for all sections of your countertop
Make sure to measure bar tops, islands, backsplashes, etc.
